With the same eclectic collection of jewelry, handbags, decorative housewares and giftables featured at its Clarksburg base location, Embellishments Too opens 10 a.m. Monday on Main Street, Bridgeport.

“We have a full line of Brighton jewelry, handbags, wallets, shoes, belts and luggage,” said Owner Cathy Goings. “We also have Troll beads, the Crabtree and Evelyn bath and body line and, of course, the clothing, jewelry and accessories that we carry at Wicked Sisters.”

The gift shop previously made its home at The Shoppes of Averill Place and most recently, The DePolo Building. Goings’ new satellite location has more square footage, enabling the boutique to expand upon its offerings.
“When we were in Bridgeport before, I couldn’t carry the full Brighton line because they have requirements insofar as store size. Now, I have enough space so I can carry the full line,” Goings said. “Normally, they like for you to merchandise their products with clothing and since I wanted to bring in Wicked Sisters as part of this new store, it worked out nicely. You can literally outfit yourself head to toe.”

“Dolly Mamas” greetings cards, candles, designer baby gifts and WVU-themed items are just a few other collections featured in store displays.“We also have a lot of really nice framed art that can literally come off our wall and into your home,” Goings said.

During debut week, Embellishments Too will host an Onex Shoe Trunk Show 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday. The line ranges from casual to dressy and blends style and comfort – the same combination which Goings strives to implement in her places of business.
“I travel a lot and have gathered ideas at different places – and brought them all together to create stores where people not only find unique items they like, but also just like being here,” she said.

The store also prides itself on quality gift wrap. In celebration of the marriage of Embellishments and Wicked Sisters, purchases will be made “party ready” in a brand new line of gift bags featuring the color purple and animal prints – leopard spots and zebra stripes, included.
“We kind of incorporated all our logos into one,” Goings said.

The store’s external design is also based on signature colors and architecture.  A purple color scheme has been applied to a backdrop of old-world statues, soft urban lighting and class act fixtures and furnishings. Considering the fact that an estimated 9,000 vehicles travel via Main Street, Bridgeport, on any given day, the downtown location is prime, Goings said.

The surrounding businesses - Blooms Florist, Annabel Timms Studio of Ballet, Expressions Hair Designs and Day Spa, Temptations Accessories and Gifts and Almost Heaven Coffee Shop, included – all compliment one another very nicely.

 At least for now, Embellishments Too will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The store’s grand opening, complete with refreshments and giveaways, will take place May 19.
