For the first time in the troupes three year history The Fearless Fools are set to visit downtown Bridgeport.

 

Vintage Theatre Company’s Founding Producer and Artistic Director, Jason A. Young, cordially invites audiences to “Friday Funnies featuring The Fearless Fools” at the Benedum Civic Center in downtown Bridgeport on Friday, July 31 at 8:00p.

 

The Fearless Fools, from The Vintage Theatre Company’s VTC to GO program, are the state’s only professional comedy troupe. Founded by Steve Goff on April 1, 2013, The Fools specialize in a unique blend of short form and long form improv comedy fused with stand-up and sketch comedy as well.

 

“The Fearless Fools were the first performance troupe founded within VTC,” said Young. “They are also arguably the most popular, probably because how funny they are and how much they engage the audience.”

 

In addition to their annual nine-month performance season, The Fools are also the hosts of the West Virginia Comedy Festival held each spring.

 

The current troupe members include Craig Snider, Steve McElroy, Christian Cox, Liz Rossi, Jason A. Young, Lauren Swann, and Matthew Tolliver.

 

The doors open at 7:30p and all tickets are $7. No reservations will be taken for this show, seats will be available on a first come first serve basis, however, and individuals looking for more information can email VintageTheatreCo@gmail.com.

 

“We have performed all over the state, but amazingly we have never done a show in Bridgeport,” said Young. “I am excited to see some of my hometown folks at the show and even more excited to try and make them laugh.”
