The Bridgeport Police Department has a new addition. And it’s not on the personnel front.

 

Chief John Walker said the department added “In God We Trust” logo on the back one of the city’s police cruiser fleet. Eventually, the plan is to have them on all of the cars, Walker said.

 

“We’ve noticed that this has been placed on many other (police) cars nationwide and thought that it would be appropriate,” said Walker.

 

The logos aren’t particularly large in nature. They wording, as the photo shows, is situated below the license plate on the vehicle in red letters. The phrase is slightly longer than the license plate.

 

Walker didn’t have a timetable as to when the other vehicles would have the phrase added.
