In recognition of students craving new dining opportunities at Fairmont State University, Chilaca, an authentic Mexican dining concept, opened its doors today.

“We are excited to partner with Aladdin in providing our students with this great restaurant. Chilaca’s fresh ingridents and authentic cuisine are already being enjoyed by our students,” said President Mirta Martin.

Aladdin specializes in higher education dining which combines its culinary expertise with favorite quick service brands. They were awarded a five year contract with Fairmont State in May.

“Chilaca will offer students a variety of tacos, burritos and bowls prepared-to-order with fresh ingredients,” said Joe DeSalvo, Aladdin district manager.

The opening is the first of several dining changes coming to the Falcon Center. In September, a full-service Chick-fil-A will open and Starbucks will join the lineup of dining options in late winter.

Aladdin, a part of the Elior North America family of companies, was first awarded Fairmont’s food service business in 2001 to bring exciting dining venues, quality fresh food and a high level of creativity to campus dining.
