By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 06, 2024 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Former City of Bridgeport Engineer Tom Brown has retired – again. It was recently announced that Brown was stepping down in the same role with the City of Clarksburg.

Brown faithfully served Bridgeport in the capacity of city engineer for 13 years after replacing long-time Bridgeport City Engineer Dan Ferrell. Brown announced his retirement in October of 2016 and stepped down in February of 2017. He was replaced by Beth Fox, who is still serving in that capacity.

According to officials with the City of Clarksburg, Brown did not wait too long to start his city engineer job with Bridgeport’s neighbor. They list his starting date as March 1, 2017.

Recently, on Clarksburg’s official Facebook page, Clarksburg announced Brown has wrapped up his time there after seven-plus years.

Connect-Bridgeport would like to wish Brown a happy retirement. He proved to be easy to work with in facilitating information to the community through the Connect-Bridgeport Website.
