Funeral Service Slated for Former Owner of Popular Red Caboose Restaurant, John Albert "Johnny" Arco

EDITOR'S NOTE: Funeral services have now been scheduled. A service will take place Friday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarksburg.
 
John Albert “Johnny” Arco, 69, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born in Clarksburg on February 19, 1951, the only child of the late John Albert “Engine” Arco and Rosemary (Clemente) Arco.
 
John is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Carla Gene (Long) Arco; son and daughter: James Carl Arco of Clarksburg, and Maria Rose Arco and fiancé Craig Singleton of Clarksburg; two grandchildren: Isaiah Jerome and Ashirah Rose Singleton; three close cousins: Andrea Pecora, Jennifer Ward, and Salvatore Clemente; brother-in-law David Long (Maxine); sister-in-law Becky Davis (Jerry); as well as numerous other cousins, extended family, and close friends. Johnny never met a stranger.
 
In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by one son, John Salvatore Arco.
 
John was the former owner and operator of The Red Caboose restaurant in Clarksburg. He loved his grandchildren and his family. He enjoyed watching sports, socializing with everyone, and will always be remembered for his kind heart.
 
John’s wishes for cremation will be honored. Due to concerns and restrictions with Covid-19 at this time, a memorial gathering and service will be postponed to a future date to be announced.
