GFWC Woman's Club, Junior Alumnae Club, Holds Annual International Dinner

The GFWC Women’s Club of Bridgeport, along with The Junior Alumnae Club, held their annual International Dinner at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
Members of the Bridgeport Club International Committee, along with Board members, prepared and furnished the food. Invocation was given by member Ruth Allen.
Guest were past state presidents, Tressa Wolfe and Mary Jo Thomas and district president Donna Mick , Lori Gray and members from the Juniors Club, and a member of the Fairmont Woman’s Club.
Members brought items for the Backpack Program and for the Food Drive for Shepherds corner. Volunteers are needed for the food drive, if you would like to help, please meet Saturday, October 20 at 9:30 behind Bridgeport Fire Station on Main Street.
A Smile Cake was donated by the Junior Alumnae club. Candles were purchased by all members attended. Proceeds from sales of the candles were donated to the Operation Smile Program to fund Cleft Palate Operation for children worldwide.
Program for the evening was a delightful selection of songs performed by vocalist Erica Cottrill, a senior at Bridgeport High School. Devotions were delivered by Shirley Hadorn.
