At noon today, the ribbon was cut on The Insurance Network, not a new Bridgeport business, but one which has grown and relocated. 

 

Formerly located on Bridgeport’s East Main Street near Oliverio's Ristorante, Bridgeport Annuity Exchange – offering annuities; IRA and 401K rollovers; life, health and disability insurance, tax preparation, planning, business consulting and accounting - joined forces with Linger Tax Service and ultimately moved in June of this year to Blake Center on Johnson Avenue.

 

At today’s grand opening - which also included refreshments, prize drawings and visits by city and state dignitaries – Bridgeport High School Alum and Bridgeport Annuity Exchange Owner/Financial Advisor Jason McCall explained the business partnership, its collaborative mission to serve clients and the reason for the relocation.

“A lot of our clients were coming to us asking us to help them find insurance – either to find a competitive rate or if it was a commercial application, to help complete the application so we were spending a lot of time going out and finding insurance partners,” he said. “My partner Todd Linger (owner/financial advisor of Linger Tax Service) realized it would be more efficient and better for our clients if we had someone in-house to do it. So about a year ago, we brought on two agents and we now we have four. Now when an accounting client comes in to get taxes done or an insurance quote, there are other things we can offer. Being a one-stop shop was our goal.”

 

With the additional staff members, the business outgrew its East Main Street location and since July 1 has occupied the Johnson Avenue location. Situate directly across the street from Sheetz, the new location offers about twice the office space, McCall said.

 

“Welcome to Bridgeport - again,” said Mayor Bob Greer. “We hope you have the continued success you’ve had previously at your other location and continue to outgrow this building and have that kind of success I think you are destined to have.” 

 

Encompassing both Bridgeport Annuity Exchange and Linger Tax Service, The Insurance Network is located at 1400 Johnson Avenue, Suite 1G.
