FROM THE HARRISON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

Harrison County Schools has confirmed registration details for Dual Credit classes. If you would like to complete registration from home instead of physically attending the Harrison County Board of Education on August 3rd and 4th please visit http://www.harcoboe.net for the specific college information.

Students must be approved at their high school by attaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA, being on track to graduate, and receiving scheduling approval by their school principal.  Harrison County Schools approved Dual Credit classes from Pierpont Community & Technical College and Marshall University are available to BHS students that meet the entrance criteria.  Pierpont Community & Technical College classes will begin on August 10th in an online format instead of meeting face-to-face at the Caperton Center in Clarksburg.  The Marshall University College Algebra course is scheduled to start on August 24th, and further details will be sent electronically to registered students as the class begins.

Electronic payments of $75 per institution are being accepted via your School Cash Online account at this time.  If you are unable to complete the registration steps provided on the county website, registration assistance will be available on August 3rd and 4th, at your convenience, from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm in the main board room on the first floor of the Harrison County Board of Education at 445 West Main Street in Clarksburg.

Free parking is available in the back of the building and is accessible via Washington Avenue.  Please disregard any bills that are sent in error directly from the college as they are required to bill Harrison County Schools directly for students taking dual credit courses.
