Harrison County Man Gets 110 Month Sentence for Drug Dealing Near Playground in Clarksburg

Casey Searcy, 33, of Salem was sentenced to 110 months in prison for selling prescription painkillers near the Clarksburg City Park – North View, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced Monday.
 
Searcy pled guilty in July 2014 to one count of "Distribution of Oxycodone within 1000' of a Protected Location" following an investigation by the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA- funded initiative.
 
The Bridgeport Police Department has members on the Task Force. Chief John Walker is the chairman.
 
Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley prosecuted the cases on behalf of the government.
 
U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
