Harrison County Native Ellen Condron Honored for Her Contributions by Clarksburg League for Service

According to WBOY, Clarksburg native Ellen Condron was recognized by the Clarksburg League for Service with the Women of Enduring Spirit award on Sunday.
 
"We celebrate Ellen Condron who is very worthy and we're very proud of her being a woman of enduring spirit," said Susie Pastorik, the mistress of ceremonies. 
 
Condron received a master's in nursing from WVU and later went on to teach at Fairmont State University. She is a former president of the Clarksburg League for Service and has been involved in many community organizations.
 
"Its just really rewarding to know that people accept it and that they've learned, they've learned about the opioid crisis. When you get an award like this by your contemporaries it's very meaningful," said Condron. 
 
Community Conversations is one project that Condron has worked hard on. The events education the community on challenges and solutions surrounding the opioid epidemic and it is something that she has been with since conception.
