Due to the generous donations of students and staff around the county, over $2600.00 was raised for Spinal Muscular Atrophy research during the first annual SMA Day on November 10. Students in all Harrison County Schools donned red, white and blue and brought in donations in order to help find a cure for the disease. Vincent Pinti, a Bridgeport High School Freshman who suffers from the disease, was moved by the generosity and kindness displayed during SMA day and is truly appreciative of the efforts to find a cure.
