According to WDTV, the first inpatient detox an addiction recovery program in Harrison County is opening next month.
Arch Recovery Center, which is located in Quiet Dell just off Interstate 79 at the Stonewood exit, will officially open and begin accepting clients on March 3.
The center offers short-term detox and longer-term 28-day recovery programs for those struggling with addiction. Housed in an old
telemarketing center that was abandoned during COVID, the center has been a project two years in the making.

There will be 21 beds for the detox program and 52 beds for residents working through the 28-day program. In the detox center, residents will be assisted by medical staff to safely detox from a wide variety of drugs. After completing their detox, clients will have the option of continuing their recovery in the 28-day program.
Executive Director Lou Ortenzio says this is the first facility of its kind in Harrison County and that he’s excited to be able to offer these services to people in need.
Director of Business Development C.W. Dent echoed those sentiments and said that having employees who have personal experience battling addiction will be an asset to incoming clients.
“We want to be mentors and guides to the people who come through here,” Dent said. “I think a lot of our lived experience in addiction, and now in recovery, is going to be a blessing to those who come to our facility.”
Dent said the opening of this facility means a lot to him as someone who has had his own struggles with addiction.
“It means so much to me to be able to be a part of something special here in Harrison County — a place where I destroyed my life, my family’s lives, and multiple other people in the process," Dent said. “It is such a blessing to be able to be a part of bringing this to Harrison County.”
According to the facility’s mission statement, Arch Recovery is dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate and evidence-based treatment which empowers lasting recovery. They say they believe in treating the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — by integrating proven medical practices with comprehensive therapeutic approaches and supportive care.
