Bridgeport Middle School eighth grader Mackenzie Gould accomplished a "three-peat" Tuesday when she captured the win in the school spelling bee. She also won her sixth and seventh grade years.

Two years ago, she captured the Harrison County Spelling Bee Championship, advancing to regionals and finishing second runner-up.

Mackenzie will once again represent BMS at the Harrison County Spelling Bee, to be held Jan. 11, 2017 at Liberty High School.

Mackenzie takes jazz, ballet, point and hip-hop lessons and is a member of the BMS Danceline. She is also the winner of the 2016 West Virginia Modern Woodmen of America Speech Contest.

MacKenzie is the daughter of Tracy and T. Keith Gould of Bridgeport. Her younger brother Jack is in the fifth grade.
