The much anticipated delivery of large earth moving equipment is another positive sign for the next chapter of Charles Pointe Crossing.

In recent and forthcoming weeks, daily blasts have and will continue to be felt.  The team at Genesis Partners says “this is just the beginning, more investors and business are on their way.”   Site development activity is ahead of schedule, which is important given impending winter weather according to Genesis representative Rob Stuart, Director of Planning and Engineering.

"Wednesday marks an important milestone in the next phase of development of the 1,700 acre mixed use space.  As people begin to see us moving earth, anticipate much excitement for what inherently follows, vertical construction," he said. "The entire landscape is about to change."

Jason Manning, Project Manager with Wolfe’s Excavating, LLC said delivery of the equipment and earth movement is a sign of progress, which feeds the local economy.

"The fact that we are employing an estimated 40 local skilled operators and laborers, who will see this project through, is a wonderful boost to the region.  Wolfe’s will have over 40 pieces of machinery on site - 30 pieces of small equipment to get the project started, with an additional 10 pieces of mass excavation equipment, which is being assembled on site."

Dennis Miller, Bridgeport Office Lead for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), which serves as engineer of record on the project stated the work being completed by the CEC’s team led by Steven Cain, Project Principal and Ryan Haws is transformational for Charles Pointe, Bridgeport and Harrison County.

"With an office location adjacent to the project site, we look forward to watching the vast amount of earth movement and working alongside everyone involved with the development," Miller said.

Genesis Partners expresses that this project would not be possible without the cooperation and participation of our state and federal elected officials, our county commission, and our municipal officials.  President of the Harrison County Commission, Ron Watson says “This is a true public-private partnership that has enabled the development of lands in a sustainable manner that otherwise would not be feasible”.

Senator Mike Romano is enthusiastic with the continued job growth at Charles Pointe, “Charles Pointe is a successful balanced model for the state of West Virginia and with the continued Job Creation, the success continues”.

Bridgeport Mayor Andy Lang embraced the Charles Pointe Crossing announcement, “This greatly enhances the opportunities for Bridgeport and the North Central Region of our state.”
