An afternoon accident created a traffic blockage on Johnson Avenue near the entrance to Carriage Lane.

 

Involving two cars, the wreck happened at 4 p.m. Responding were Bridgeport Fire/EMS and Bridgeport Police Department.

 

 

“Both vehicles – a Honda Pilot and a Ford Focus - were traveling eastbound and one vehicle stopped to let a vehicle coming westbound into Carriage Lane,” said Bridgeport Police Officer Mike Holley.

 

According to a witness, the driver of the Ford looked away and did not see the Honda in front of her stop and thereafter struck it from behind.

 

The incident was dispatched as one with injury, but patients refused treatment and hospital transport, the 911 incident log discloses. 

 

Members of Bridgeport Police Department were on scene to direct traffic. One lane was open. Bridgeport PD is investigating the accident.
