Just before noon Thursday, Bridgeport Police, Fire and EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident on Thompson Drive. One patient was transported to United Hospital Center.
According to Bridgeport Police Officer Mike Hammond, a black Toyota Camry was traveling across the parking lot of the Big Lots shopping plaza, heading toward Lodgeville Road when it was T-boned by a gold Subaru Forester, also exiting the parking lot and headed towards Best Western Plus Bridgeport Inn.
“The driver of the Camry was transported to UHC with non-life-threatening injuries and the other driver was just fine,” Hammond said. “Both cars were towed by Dan Riggs Towing.
The accident was caused by a failure to yield to right-of-way, Hammond said. The driver of the Subaru was at fault.
According to the Harrison County 911 log, the call was dispatched at 11:50 a.m.
Hammond continues to investigate the accident with Lt. John Post assisting.
