A proud West Virginian with an easy smile, sass, and wit. She found beauty in every situation and inspired many. Quick to laugh, she lit up every place she went. Her beauty and grace came naturally. Kyra was truly a force of nature. Most proud of her children, her family, her friends, her community, her state, and of The Clarksburg Children's House Montessori School.

Kyra’s belief in the goodness of humanity and her deep desire to help individuals reach their fullest potential was her incredible and everlasting gift to our community. Kyra had a unique way of connecting with those who came across her path. She could put anyone at ease, with her beautiful smile, patience, and positive energy. Kyra was an exceptional communicator, her words were inspiring, nurturing, and comforting. Kyra fully believed in creating an environment that was interesting, beautiful, nurturing and rewarding. It was Kyra’s vision that helped establish The Clarksburg Children’s House.

Kyra strongly affirmed the belief that “whereas humans are often hardwired to protect themselves by finding differences, or things that are out of the ordinary, a higher evolved type of thinking is one that can find similarities, this promotes a peaceful and generous mentality that can find ways to create equanimity.

She is survived by her husband Jeff Schlosser, daughter Zoe Schlosser and son Max Schlosser, all of Lake Floyd. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Her connections to her large, blended family of siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friendships. She is fondly remembered by those that had the luck to be in her light. “So it goes.”

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 3 - 7 PM at Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory. Online condolences can be made at www.Davisfuneralhomewv.com. Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Schlosser family.
