Lumberport Councilman Facing Decades in Prison after Sentencing on Sexual Charges involving Minors

According to this report from WDTV, a Lumberport councilman was sentenced after pleading guilty to charges of sexual abuse and sexual assault.
 
Wednesday, a judge sentenced David Markley to 10 to 20 years in prison on charges of sexual abuse by a person in position of trust, 10 to 20 years in prison on charges of first degree sexual assault, and a term of 50 years supervised release.  The sentences will run concurrently.  
 
Markley will also have to register as a sex offender.  
 
The judge denied a request for home confinement.
