A federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Reginald Maurice Teasley, Jr., 38, of Philadelphia, PA with heroin trafficking, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced today.

 

Teasley is charged with one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin,” following an investigation by the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative. He was discovered in possession of heroin in October 2014 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Members of the Bridgeport Police Department are on the Drug Task Force and Chief John Walker is the chairman.

 

Teasley faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.00. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

 

An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
