Man Selling Heroin Near a Harrison County Middle School Sentenced to 20 Months in Federal Prison

John Charles Wade, III, 28, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was sentenced today to twenty months and nine days in prison for heroin trafficking, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced.
 
Wade sold heroin near a Harrison County, West Virginia middle school. He pled guilty in October 2015 to one count of “Distribution of Heroin within 1,000 feet of a Protected Location.
 
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Zelda Wesley and Stephen Warner along with former Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated. Members of the Bridgeport Police Department are on the Task Force. Chief John Walker is the chairman.
 
U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
