By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 26, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Back on Sept. 8 during a press conference held at Clarksburg City Hall to announce the arrival of fentanyl-laced heroin in Harrison County and overdoses resulting from it, Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker said anyone caught dealing heroin that resulted in a death would be charged with murder. Apparently, it's not just Harrison County jurisdictions that are doing that.

According to WDTV, a Morgantown man is facing murder charges in the death of a woman who police say died as a result of a drug overdose.

According to the criminal complaint, 45-year-old Gary Richmond allegedly gave a 24-year-old woman heroin. The woman injected the heroin and later died as a result of the drug.
