Some were dressed in their Easter best; others in play clothes and sneakers - ready for the dash. But all preschool children attending Thursday's City of Bridgeport Easter Egg Hunt came with searching in mind. After explaining the rules – and reminding kids of the bonus golden eggs hidden in the midst of thousands of others – Parks and Recreation Deputy Director Joe Shuttleworth gave the go signal and they were off. Children age 3 and under scattered across one area of the ball field; those age 4 and 5 on another. With baskets in hand, they scoured the grass, picking up the candy-filled eggs one by one. The kids also enjoyed visiting with the Easter Bunny and posing for photos. After festivities, many gathered on the playground for some quality friend time. Some even found some new ones.
