The annual Bridgeport High School Homecoming Assembly fires up the Tribe football team - and the student body - for the big game with performances, games, jokes, plenty of cheering and overall fun. Taking place Thursday, the assembly started with singing of the National Anthem by Erica Cottrill, after which the court for 2018 was introduced. Callie Byard sang "That's Life" followed by a scavenger hunt game and performance by the BHS Cheerleaders.

The BHS Steel Drum Band performed "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart and the BHS Jazz Band performed "Pick up the Pieces." Corrine Yurkovich sang "Ain't Got No Tears Left to Cry" and various other games and activities took place before the senior football players and their moms performed their traditional dance. The BHS Danceline also performed and AJ Goodwin and Isabelle Cunanan led student section cheers, after which the traditional Spirit Stick was awarded to the freshman class.
