More than Eight Decades Later, Ritzy Lunch is Still the Choice of Many to Meet their Dining Expectations

According to WBOY's recent installment of "Restaurant Road Trip," it was 1933, Joseph and Mary Selario decided to share their family recipes with the rest of Clarksburg and beyond by opening up a full-service restaurant, Ritzy Lunch.

"When the theater was open, we served steaks, seafood, pasta. The people would come in - the women would be in their dress suits, and the men would be in their slacks and dress shirts. It was more of a formal place," said current owner Antonio Selario.

Every nook and cranny has its own story.

"An old group of police officers, they used to devil each other. They got into it in the booth and cracked the booth," said Selario.

Decade after decade, business continued to boom.

"I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Back before the malls and stuff, my mother, when she would come shopping in Clarksburg, we'd always have to come to Ritzy Lunch and get a hot dog," said customer Greg Yochym.

Now, 83 years and three generations later, Ritzy Lunch is still going strong. Its menu has changed quite a bit over the years, but the rich flavors remain the same.
