Morgantown’s 17-year-old Cody Clayton Eagle has already made it to Hollywood with “American Idol.” Now the young artist – who was featured on the stage of Bridgeport’s Family Day last month – is in participating in the Nashville Rising Song open mic competition. He has made it to the top 21 and will perform live in front of a panel of judges and an audience.

 

Eagle received 38 percent of the fan vote in an earlier round by performing his recently-released song ‘I Will Sing,’ which was inspired by his father, David, telling him to continue to work hard and pursue his dreams.
