Narcotic Painkiller Dealer Gets 121 Months in Prison for Selling at North View Playground in Clarksburg

Morgantown resident Jerome Naquan Haynes, 35, originally of New York, was sentenced Friday  to 121 months in prison after he admitted that he sold oxycodone pills near a Harrison County playground, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced.
 
Haynes sold oxycodone in March 2014 near Clarksburg City Park – North View in Harrison County. He pled guilty in July 2014 to one count of “Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Oxycodone within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location.” He will receive credit for time served since May 2014.
 
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated. The Bridgeport Police Department has members on the Task Force. Chief John Walker is the chairman.
 
U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
