National Financial News Web Site Ranks List of All 50 States Richest Cities and Bridgeport Ranks at Top

Another national Web site has released a report and once again it paints the City of Bridgeport in a favorable light. This time, the Web site 247wallst.com released a special report that had a state-by-state ranking.
 
The ranking was for the richest town in every state in the nation. Bridgeport did more than fare well.
 
Bridgeport sat at the top of the list in West Virginia. The city earned the top spot based on having the highest median household income.
 
The city’s median income was listed at $80,666. The per household median income average for the rest of the state is listed at $44,921.
 
Bridgeport also fared way above the state average when it came to the poverty level. The state average was 17.8 percent, while the city came in at 4.1 percent among it’s listed population of 8,466
 
One other item was shown. The median home valued for Bridgeport was also nearly double that of the state average. The Bridgeport home value was at $220,000. The state value was listed at $115,000.
