A late morning Wednesday wreck that saw a tractor trailer lose control along Interstate 79 before crashing through a guardrail and coming to rest just feet away from Simpson resulted in the driver of the truck being flown by HealthNet to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Yesterday, there was no word on his condition. Today, that's changed.

 

Emergency services personnel have confirmed that the driver of the truck is in critical, but stable condition. The Clarksburg Police are investigating the matter that involved responses from multiple agencies, including several from Bridgeport.

 

The identification of the driver had not been released.
