On Wednesday, the students at Bridgeport Middle School piled into the gym bleachers to provide their hard working teachers a much deserved thank you. Its teacher appreciation week and four 8^th grade students - Talon Martin, Emilee Henderson, Peyton Merica, and Macey Phillips - came together to organize a special assembly in honor of their teachers.

 

At the event, a number of activities were planned with the specific purpose on showcasing just how talented their teachers are from duet competitions, a basketball shoot-out, to even a rap battle; the students and faculty let loose and had fun. When all the games had been played, the Teacher King and Queen of each grade was chosen.

 

The King of the 6^th grade was Robbie Buffington, while the Queen was Cristy Buffington. The King of the 7^th grade was Bill Shaver and the Queen was Liz Holtz. The 8^th grade King and Queen were Kenny Edwards and Brooke Cunningham.
