On Wednesday, the students at Bridgeport Middle School piled into the gym bleachers to provide their hard working teachers a much deserved thank you. Its teacher appreciation week and four 8th grade students - Talon Martin, Emilee Henderson, Peyton Merica, and Macey Phillips - came together to organize a special assembly in honor of their teachers.

At the event, a number of activities were planned with the specific purpose on showcasing just how talented their teachers are from duet competitions, a basketball shoot-out, to even a rap battle; the students and faculty let loose and had fun. When all the games had been played, the Teacher King and Queen of each grade was chosen.

The King of the 6th grade was Robbie Buffington, while the Queen was Cristy Buffington. The King of the 7th grade was Bill Shaver and the Queen was Liz Holtz. The 8th grade King and Queen were Kenny Edwards and Brooke Cunningham.
