WHEREAS, on May 13, 2016, the Bridgeport Middle School Girls Softball team won the Harrison County Middle School Softball Championship Game; and 

 

WHEREAS, the team beat Lincoln Middle School in the Championship game by a score of 2-1; and 

 

WHEREAS, this is the second time in a row they have won the Harrison County Middle School Softball Championship; and 

 

WHEREAS, the team finished with a season record of 12-3; and 

 

WHEREAS, the Bridgeport Middle School Girls Softball team is coached by Billy Estok and Assistant Coach Audra Sczerba; and 

 

WHEREAS, through constant hard work, dedication, perseverance, leadership and teamwork, the Bridgeport Middle School Girls Softball Team continues to set high standards for excellence; and 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert L. Greer, Mayor of the City of Bridgeport, on behalf of the governing body and all of the citizens of Bridgeport, by this proclamation, do hereby recognize the achievements of the Bridgeport Middle School Girls Softball team for their accomplishments and extend the appreciation and pride of our community.
