It takes a lot of courage to perform before the entire Bridgeport Middle School student body and a panel of area professionals who are scoring that performance. Yet, every year, dozens of BMS students participate in BMS Idol, a school-wide talent search. About 40 preliminary contestants were narrowed to 12 and those young performers competed for the coveted trophy Thursday morning.
