Today's activity in Bridgeport includes construction, repair and renovation work and some summertime play. Harrison County Parks and Recreation's summer program is in full swing at Compton Park, where Parks and Recreation crews are busy keeping the grounds pretty. At Deegan Lake, geese enjoy a quiet morning. Construction is ongoing at the new Johnson Elementary School, where nearby, crews work to cut and remove a large tree that fell after it was struck by lightning the evening of June 20. Renovations continue at The Square shopping plaza, which houses Dollar General Store and Colors, among other businesses. Renovations also continue at the G.A.L. Land Company building and Main Street Fitness.
