Photos: New Members of Volunteers in Police Service, "VIPS," Receive Badges at City Council Meeting

With assistance by Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker, Police Officer Christopher “Bart” Sayers and Kerry Hess of the city’s Volunteers in Police Services “VIPS,” Mayor Greer swore in new members of VIPS at Monday night's Bridgeport City Council meeting. After a group swearing in, each member was presented with his or her official badge.
The new members are Lori Baxter, Shannon Rush, Lisa Gibson, William Gibson, Andrew Rauch and Ralph Bradbury. Bradbury was not present for last night’s ceremony. Several other VIPS members were present.
The VIPS assist Bridgeport Police Department with various duties, including fingerprinting and traffic control during accidents and special events.
