The weather couldn’t have been better for Indian Fest 2017. Bridgeport High School students got out of the classroom on a sunny, breezy Monday afternoon, participating in games and activities at Wayne Jamison Field and Bridgeport City Park, an annual activity sponsored by BHS Student Council. Indian Fest has become a tradition and an ideal way to reward students for conscientious efforts with regard to standardized testing and good behavior during the school year.

Students had a range of activities from which to choose: Archery tag, volleyball, Frisbee, soccer, ladder ball, corn hole and badminton, to name a few.. Students also utilized nearby basketball courts and baseball fields for additional activities. Some leisurely walked the track. Others kicked off their shoes and enjoyed the day's generous sunshine and gentle breeze.

In the press box was Jared St. Martin Brown, who along with student helpers, offered tunes and commentary throughout the afternoon. The concession stand was open and a couple of vendors were on hand so the students could purchase icy drinks and treats.
