Two vehicles were mangled during a Tuesday morning accident at the intersection of Routes 50 and 279 (past Maple Lake). A truck, a Chevy Silverado, was exiting 279 onto Route 50 when it pulled out in front of a van, a Toyota Sienna, traveling west on Route 50. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Dan Riggs Towing. There were no hospital transports.

 

The call for the accident was dispatched at 7 a.m. Both roadways are heavily traveled during that time.

 

The accident remains under investigation by Bridgeport Police.
