Bridgeport City Manager Randy Wetmore has forwarded information the city has received from Mon Power regarding a planned power outage that will impact hundreds of residents - barring bad weather - tomorrow (Tuesday, July 27).

The message from a Mon Power Regional External Affairs Consultant tells the city 850 Mon Power customers will be impacted. The outage is on the Bridgeport Hill/Route 50 East circuit. The message further states the outage is necessary due to a set of crossarms that are broken and are in danger of causing an unplanned power interruption.

A city official said based on the information that the majority of homes that will be without power are situated on the southern side of Route 50's Main Street corridor. There will be a few fringe outages on the northern side of Route 50 such as Water, Lower Worthington, Center Street, Lower Philadelphia, etc. All developments near Hinkle and Deegan Lake are included in the outage.

Please check your phone to see if you are impacted and check with neighbors to see if they have received the message from Mon Power. The city does not have jurisdiction in this matter. Questions should be directed to the number below.
