After patiently awaiting completion of construction and renovation, employees of Meadowbrook Mall’s new Maurices will “building” their new store this coming week.

“That means we’ll be products in place,” said Assistant Manager Kacie Barnett.

 

And by week’s end, an official ribbon cutting will take place and the doors will open to the public. The clothing chain’s grand opening and ribbon cutting will be launched at 10 a.m. Friday, April 28 and the store will thereafter be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays, in conjunction with regular Meadowbrook Mall hours.

 

In addition to special promotions and deals – which won’t be announced until mid-week, Barnett said – Maurices will host a number of giveaways in celebration of their grand opening event. A basket of store merchandise, pair of Cinemark movie passes, a haircare set from MasterCuts will be given away via random draw, as well as a Maurices gift card.

 

“Just stop and see us,” Barnett said. “You don’t even have to shop. Just come see what we’re about and sign up for our drawing.”

A women’s and girls’ clothing chain, Maurices prides itself on its wide range of fashions and sizes.

 

“We carry size zero to 26, so we do have plus sizes available,” Barnett said. “We also shoes and accessories, as well. There’s something for everyone and for all occasions at Maurices.”

Maurices carries dresses and active wear, as well as plenty of denim; brands including Vigoss and Silver jeans, the latter only available at selected stores and through online sales. The store’s service is unique, Barnett said.

 

“We do something a lot of retailers don’t. We have personal stylists,” she said.

 

A shopper can call ahead to make an appointment, providing information about her size and style preferences and upon her arrival, a dressing room will be pre-stocked with suggested attire. The stylist will thereafter work with the shopper to find the perfect outfit, Barnett said.

 

“Our philosophy is that ‘We are committed to letting the real you shine through,’” she said. “Whether you want to be cute and casual or dress it up a little, we like to focus on everyone’s unique style.”
