Power Restored to 1500 Bridgeport Mon Power/First Energy Customers After Limb Falls on Power Line

Earlier today, more than 1500 Mon Power/First Energy customers in Bridgeport were without power. Businesses, residents and Johnson Elementary and Bridgeport High School were included.
 
“Crews found that a tree limb fell on a line just off Underhill Road in the Courtright area – not far from our Bridgeport substation,” said Todd Myers, First Energy spokesman. “That caused protective equipment to operate inside the substation, prompting the outage.”
 
Repairs were made and all customers were restored just after 10 a.m., Myers said
