Bridgeport Parks & Recreation announces that the City of Bridgeport Christmas Parade will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. Deadline to registere is 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26. Bands, dance and twirl teams, civic groups, churches and others interested in being part of the big event - which, as always, will conclude with an appearance with Santa and Mrs. Claus - can download an entry form HERE.

 

Lineup wll begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 on Third Street, and Grand Avenue, and Fifth Street, which will be open to one-way traffic, beginning at 8:45 a.m. Units will be placed in the lineup using their assigned section letter and number. This year's route will again begin at the intersection of Routes 50 and 131 proceeding west on Main Street and disbanding on the other side of the train tracks beyond the Benedum Civic Center.
