Sunday evening, a couple hundred area residents gathered at Bridgeport Recreation Complex to participate in a prayer vigil for 5-year-old Jack Rollins who for two years has battled Neuroblastoma. The group joined in prayer, led by several individuals, including Jill Steele, Jack’s aunt. Guitar music was provided by Rus Reppert. Attendees sang “Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow” and “Amazing Grace,” after which candles were lit and sky lanterns were launched.
