Saltwell Power Line Fire Quickly Resolved

Bridgeport Fire Department responded to a power line fire late Wednesday night. The incident occurred just after 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Routes 131 (73) and 51, according to the Harrison County Bureau of Emergency Services incident log.
“It was out by the Saltwell Exxon,” said Bridgeport Firefighter Donnie Lindsey. “A transformer arced and we called the power company. We were only there for about five minutes.”
Personnel from Bridgeport’s substation responded.
No power outages resulted, Lindsey said.
