For those visiting Bridgeport who have already sampled the city's fare or those who are residents of the city and beyond looking for a trip for a new culinary experience, here's the latest edition of WBOY's Restaurant Road Trip. This one is north of Bridgeport, off Insterstate 79, about 30 minutes from the city.

A Marion County restaurant has had the same name for over 40 years.

"It's always been called the Aquarium Lounge since this place has been in business for over 40 years," said Jon Duarte, co-owner.

While the new owners may have kept the name the same, they wanted the restaurant to have a new vibe.

"But obviously, put our own spin on it with different recipes, different flavors," said Jon.

The Aquarium Lounge is not new to Fairmont, but with Jon and Erica Duarte as the owners, the restaurant has a new design and all menu items have new recipes.

"We're trying to provide a fine dining experience. So we want to provide fresh food, fresh herbs and spices, fresh seafood, and once it warms up, we'd like to incorporate using local fresh farmers and things like that, using some local products as well," said Jon.

Customers seem to appreciate the effort to stay local.

"I'm proud of them to have the opportunity to bring a great dining experience back into the community of downtown. Local people doing business where they live, so everything they make goes back into the community," said Chris Duarte, customer.
