School Improvement Council, Boy Scout Troop 40 Team Up to Benefit Simpson Elementary Students

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 12, 2021 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Recently, Simpson Elementary was the beneficiary of some excellent teamwork between the Local School Improvement Council at Simpson Elementary and Bridgeport Boy Scout Troop 40.

According to the Harrison County School District Facebook page (the BOE's official page), the LSIC recently purchased four picinc tables for the school after securing donations from local community members. The tables will be used for additional out door classroom and activity space.

Once acquired, however, the tables needed assembled. That is where Boy Scout Troop 40 stepped in.

The tables were donated by Andy Lang, Alex Wolfe, Randy Kerns, and Sam D'Annunzio.

Shown in the photo, from left, are Hunter Reed, Gabe Miller, Colton Lindsey, Andrew Randolph, Jordan Pollutro, and Patrick Hammond. Travis Miller was the leader in charge of the project.
