Second Harrison County Teacher Ball Set May 14

By Trina Runner on May 01, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Who says the kids get to have all the fun?  With prom season wrapping up, an opportunity for teachers is fast approaching and it involves fancy dresses and music as well.  The second annual Harrison County Teacher’s Ball will be held on May 14 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Village Square.

For just $20 per person, teachers can enjoy a night of music, dancing, spirits and prizes, something much needed after a season of state testing.  The event is supported by both AFT and WVEA but is not a union event, so all are welcome.  Appetizers, photos, prizes and music promise attendees a night to remember.

To make reservations for individuals or tables of eight, email Sarah Moore at s.m.moore@k12.wv.us.  PayPal is accepted, as well as cash or check and RSVP’s are needed by May 6.  All funds will pay for entertainment and the venue. Any additional money will fund next year’s event.

The event is open to anyone who serves the children of Harrison County, including cooks, aides, bus drivers, custodians, substitute teachers, principals and board employees.
