With several disturbances pushing through the area over the weekend, severe weather is looking more and more likely, said Laura Pysz, director of Bridgeport Emergency Services. The threat of excessive rainfall is greatest Saturday with severe storms coming Saturday afternoon and evening. Flash flooding is also becoming a major concern for this weekend and everyone is urged to remain vigilant this holiday weekend, Pysz said.
