Firefighters responded to a house fire just after 1 a.m. Wednesday on High Street, Shinnston. It is believed a space heater could have been the cause, but the investigation is ongoing.

 

According to the Shinnston Fire Chief, the fire started in the downstairs area of the home. Residents in the home were upstairs at the time. Two people escaped out of a second floor window. Fire officials say the home is a total loss. The family is in need of clothing. See details HERE at WDTV.
