In its Dec. 2-8 edition, The State Journal picked up a Connect-Bridgeport story about Bridgeport's Curtis  Fleming, host of the Outdoor Channel's "Fly Rod Chronicles."

Recently, Fleming and members of his crew traveled to southern West Virginia to film a show highlighting the resilience of the Mountain State following the June flood devastation.

The episode includes an interview with West Virginia Governor Elect Jim Justice, who opened the doors of The Greenbrier to house victims and initiated the "Neighbors Loving Neighbors" program which financially assisted victims.

The show will also feature a fly fishing expedition with flood victim/disabled U.S. Veteran Wes Phillips. Serving as guide was Greenbrier Sporting Club's Director of Outdoor Pursuits Jacob Ott.
