According to Bridgeport Fire Chief Phil Hart, there were no injuries as the result of a morning accident on Interstate 79, north of the city.

The Harrison County 911 log confirmed that an accident took place at 7:48 a.m. It was listed as occurring at the 127 mile marker.

Hart said the accident involved three vehicles. He added that passengers in all three refused treatment and medical transport.

The incident backed up traffic for miles on the southbound lanes of I-79. According to the 911 log, the area was cleared of debris and cars removed by 9 a.m. However, this photo shows traffic still back up around the same time. Please exercise caution if you're heading to this area.
