Traffic Briefly Backed up Due to Late Afternoon Main Street Fender Bender; No Injuries, Minor Damage

A minor traffic accident involving two cars briefly slowed traffic along Main Street in front of the Benedum Civic Center just before noon today.
The accident involved a maroon Dodge Ram 1500 and a white Toyota Sienna. Damage to both vehicles was minimal and there were no injuries. A Bridgeport Fire Department staff member alerted law enforcement of the situation.
The drivers were able to move their vehicles to the bus pull off point beside Third Millennium Marketing. Once that was done, traffic began moving in regular fashion.
Bridgeport Police responded to the scene. PFC Bart Sayers was handling the matter.
